American Standard Brands and its affiliates ('American Standard') take your right to privacy very seriously. Our Contractor Privacy Policy describes the type of personal identifiable information we collect from contractors resident in Canada both on the web site www.partnerpoints.ca and offline, and what we do with that information.

Personal information is information that is about or can be linked to an identifiable individual. Personal information does not include business information (i.e. information about corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships or other organizations) or the name, title, business address or business telephone number of an employee of an organization.

What personal information does American Standard collect?

We ask you to provide certain personal information to create an account on our web sites, to receive literature and account updates, to order a product, to participate in a survey or contest, or when you contact us with questions, comments or a request for service. You may choose not to provide us with the information we request, but it may limit our ability to provide you with the product, service or feature you have requested.

The personal information we collect depends on the nature of your communication or request. To create a Partner Points Rewards Program account, you will be required to provide your name, company name, address, phone number, e-mail address and language preference. You will also be asked to create a password to identify you as a member of the Partner Points program. To log in to partnerpoints.ca using an existing account, you will be required to provide your user identification number and password. To register to receive literature about American Standard products, you will be required to provide your name, address, postal code, province and e-mail address. To purchase a product/reward online, you will be required to provide your member id and password, name, e-mail address, shipping address, telephone number and product selection. To contact us with questions, comments or a request for service, you will be required to provide your name, e-mail address, phone number and details regarding the subject matter of your communication or request.

In addition, we also collect non-identifiable, aggregate statistical and demographic information about the use of our web sites, including times of access, browser types, Internet addresses of referring pages, and pages visited most often. When you visit partnerpoints.ca or American Standard’s other web sites also recognize your domain name (e.g. aol.com or interport.net), but not your e-mail address.

How does American Standard use the personal information it collects?

American Standard uses the personal information it collects to respond to your request for a product or service, to improve its products, services, and partnerpoints.ca, our other web sites and to provide you with a customized, individual experience and personalized service. In the case of service related communications, we maintain a record of such communications in the event you contact us again.

If you are a member of the Partner Points program, we may use personal information we collect to answer your questions about an application or account, to verify your identity, to contact and communicate with you, to administer the Partner Points program including the maintenance and updating of your account to record eligible product purchases, and to process requests for rewards.

We may also use your personal information for our own marketing purposes such as occasional e-mail updates and mailings with information about new products or promotions. If you do not want to receive such e-mails or mailings from American Standard, you may opt out when you register or otherwise provide personal information. You may also remove your name from our mailing list by notifying us in the manner described in the section below entitled 'How to contact us'.

American Standard will not sell your personal information to any third party

American Standard will not reveal to any third party your personal information, except in connection with processing your online order (see below) and except to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws, police investigations, or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant.

Your consent

We will only collect, use and disclose your personal information with your consent, which may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances. Your consent may be implied, such as for required information in connection with an application for a Partner Points account, administration of a contest, a request to receive literature or to provide you with product and service information. If we intend to use your information for purposes other than those that we have identified when we collect it, we will seek your consent.

Partner Points Online Orders

Placing an order on Partner Points Rewards, www.partnerpoints.ca, is fast, easy and safe. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal information. The personal information you submit with an order is treated as confidential information and it will not be distributed, traded, sold, or rented to anyone.

What information do we collect and how is your information used?

Shopping: We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to gather broad demographic information, and to monitor the level of activity on our site. We collect information from visitors to our site regarding the referring URL, your IP address, which browser you used to come to the site, the country, province, the pages of our site that you viewed during your visit and any search terms entered on our site.

Traffic Patterns: We track traffic patterns throughout their online sessions, including which pages an individual views while using the site. This information is ultimately stored in the form of store categories, and, in some cases, specific URLs. We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers and software and to administer our site.

We may share aggregated statistics about pages viewed on our site and sales and other shopping information with third parties.
